Host A Better Party: Signature Cocktails

If you're planning a wedding, today's post applies to you. Consider signature cocktails for your cocktail hour and/or reception to make the celebration more fun and special. You can choose the groom's favorite cocktail + the bride's favorite cocktail... serve them in special glasses... display the titles of the drinks on a sign near the bar, stamp the names on a custom cocktail napkin, add a title to a decorated swizzle stick or straw... or some combination of the above! There are lots of options for signature drinks, you don't have to feel limited to a "blushing bride" and a "golden groom." You can choose any cocktails you like.

Signature cocktails can serve as an alternative to an open bar, or you can tack it on to all the other alcohol options you're offering. You can serve your signature drinks along with just beer + wine in order to keep some variety for your guests. The options are unlimited!

Sorry we have been lazy bloggers lately! Glitterati has been keeping us busy! We'll be better starting tomorrow :)

But check out this pretty veggie spread.
Totally going to do this at our next dinner party.

The Head Scarf

We're kind of adoring this accessory lately. There are so many options, styles, looks and colors you can go for with the head scarf... and it's the perfect solution to a not-so-fab hair day. So consider adding a scarf to your 'do next time you're primping...

Host A Better Party: Place Cards

We love place cards. Escort cards. Whatever you wanna call them. There are limitless possibilites for what you can do with them. Any party or celebration that includes a sit down meal should include these. Whether you place them at a certain seat or group them together and assign them table numbers, place cards are a great way to make guests feel welcome and cared for. Check out some examples below of just how fun and creative you can get with these!

Cover them in fabric, tie them to a cocktail or a piece of fruit, write names on a rock or a votive... do whatever you want! Just make sure you have more than enough (in case some people forget to RSVP or a few extra people decide to show up last minute).

PRETTY IN PINK

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, let's talk about pink!
via
Pink weddings, specifically. Here's the deal: we're all for pink themed weddings, but we're wondering what everyone's opinions are on one thing in particular... keep scrolling to see where this is heading...

A pink cake... we're all for it // via

Pink drinks, totally cute // via

Pink nails = we're all in // via

Pink heels... for sure // via

Pink bridesmaids. Absolutely. // via

Pink flowers, how can you not? // via

BUT.... one thing we are still not totally sold on = the pink wedding dress. It's totally #trending right now (yeah, we hashtagged that), but is it too modern and non-traditional?

Ah, the pink wedding dress. Is it pushing the boundaries too much? Or is it something you would wear as a bride? Just curious... we're unsure so far, but definitely intrigued. Let us know what you think!
